Scott Morrison’s Sydney gets gold-standard treatment

This is the most politically biased and discriminating Prime Minister Australia ever has. When you park your car at a train station in a Liberal or former Liberal marginal electirate, do remember Morrison's act of kindness.

Morrison must go for the good of Australia and all Australians.

The New Silk Road - How Enemies became Allies - China & Middle East

Victoria's hopes to play a part in the One Belt One Road initiative BRI, but Dutton describes it as “a propaganda initiative from China” that brings an “enormous amount of foreign interference”.

When the federal government overturned Victoria's controversial Belt and Road agreements with China, Victoria was made crystal clear that foreign policy would be run by Canberra alone.

Australia continues to align itself with the western bloc, because it has an ingrained fear of the Yellow Peril and the Domino Theory.

Let's enjoy the video and learn more why Australia's fear of BRI may be ill-founded.

Thank you.

My Opinion: Short sharp lockdown is the right decision

My opion

Isn't Australia in lockdown from international visitors? Why?

It is not an open and shut case. Any responsible government does not take it lightly to lockdown a state or a country.

Shouldn't all the industries affected by the international border closure be screaming like Lucas of Chin Chin who asked why other states were able to cordon off outbreaks without going into a sweeping lockdown?

It is very unfortunate that Victoria's Case 0 was tested negative several times in South Australia, and then showed symptoms of Covid infection not long after his return to Melbourne. What this means SA could possibly have some walking time bombs not yet detected.

The virus had hitched a flight to travel thousands of kilometres from a foreign country to Australia, infected innocent Case 0 who then further travelled a few more hundreds of kilometres to reach Melbourne. Distance is of no barrier to the virus, and therefore in order to minimise the spread, movement of people must be minimised as well.

Short sharp lockdown is the right decision.

Australia reports alarming spike in hotel quarantine cases

I may sound arrogant, but I do think that many so called experts and politicians, especially those in federal arena, are irrational nuts.

How can anyone assume that airborne transmission does not present and contribute serious danger to the community? The amount of time debating and the reluctance to set up offshore quarantine centres are causing enormous damage to the psychological well-being and health risks to the community, not to mention the snap lockdowns are affecting the livelihood of many small businesses.

I have never shown and expressed so much dislike of an Australian PM until Morrison took the seat. However, life is about never says never.

Let common sense prevail, and stop travellers not only from India, but also countries which have high infection cases and those which are too relaxed in dealing with COVID-19.

Australia welcomes Belt and Road Initiative

Who is Scott Morrison, and how stable is his mental state? Is he really serious about national security or is he just a show off?

When he gets dumped in the next election because the true damage to Australian economy is realised, he will be off to Hawaii again, leaving the mess for the next PM to clean up. Like many kids will say, "he is not a nice man. Always angry with the Chinese". He must be the model of the ultimate Xenophobia!

Morrison probably suffers from severe dementia. He forgets what he had said and signed.

Australia can have the trade cake and enjoy eating it too, only if Turnbull and Morrison just ask New Zealand how they do it.

It may not be just trade war. Could this be a war in the making?

South African wineries toast tariffs that uncorked Chinese market

This is the Trilogy of Australian Trade Disaster.

Is this the final nail to the coffin for the trade debacle created by the Morrison government?

China raised the red wine tariff a few months ago accusing Australian dumping its wine, and now China has raised the tariff to 218%, which could cost Australia wine producers USD 1.2 billion annually.

Many people think that Australia is still doing well with exports, but are the figures current? It depends on how the accounting records are processed.

Although the red wines have been exported and recorded, the ships are still in the seas, and not unloaded. Goods have not been received and paid for, but are recorded as sold. The figures nay look good for the time being, but what what's next?

What’s China’s beef now? It's increasingly South American

Watch out Australia, there are vultures all around the world. If relationship between Australia and China is repaired sooner, Australia is going to have "a recession we have to have due to the Government's stupid move".

Australia exports beef and lobsters indirectly via middlemen to China. The middlemen have their cut, and prices go haywire. It is just intolerable and China has no choice but turns to other suppliers.

New Zealand beef quality is comparable to Australian beef, and no doubt Australian trade debacle also creates an export opportunity for its closest neighbour.

40 healthcare workers in Malaysia who had both doses of vaccine test positive for COVID-19

Can this be true? I don't doubt this at all. The vaccine used is not mentioned in the main body but the text associated with the photo indicated what it was.

No wonder the company CEO indicated that recipients may require a third with 12 months, or even a fourth dose following later. Costing USD 20 a jab, the company must be laughing to the bank!

https://www.abc.net.au/news/2021-04-16/pfizer-boss-says-third-covid-vaccine-dose-needed-within-a-year/100073356

Unfortunately, companies producing vaccines can get away with such indemnity.

The question one must ask is wny the CEO made such statement. Does he know something that the world does not?

VIP flights for MPs top $17 million in two years

I am getting more and more disgusted by those MPs who are selfish, self-serving, inconsiderate and non-contributory during the parliamentary sessions.

God save Australia from this useless bunch.

Xinjiang ‘internment camps’: research institute got it wrong, official says

Instead of calling for an investigation about the origin of the corona virus, I think it is more useful and beneficial for Morrison to call for an international investigation to the origin of the accusation about Xinjiang's human rights and prison camps issues.

Rumour mongering must be stopped if we want to live harmoniously and peacefully among global neighbours. Australia should not be following other countries blindly, like a pack bullies, to fight in wars based on fabricated intelligence. The question is who will benefit from wars the most. It does not need to have Einstein's IQ to know that all parties with financial gain from the wars before, during g and after the wars must be having the last laugh, and celebrating with the loot.

One must be mindful that loving a country does not automatically link to the love of the ruling party of that time. I am not a member of any Australian political party, but I love Australia. I do not like anyone or any country to accuse Australia for wrong doing. The same can be said about those who love China. The people who love their country do not like their country's image be tarnished.

Australian government do not want the national security compromised. However, if the government is misled and keep accepting intelligence and reports from within
and foreign sources, without proper verification, doesn't it compromise our security? If proven the information is wrong, who are those people or who are the people behind that provide the false or fabricated information?

It is time for Morrison to grow up, and stop being a US's lap dog.

China turns to US coal to fill void created by Australia import ban, offers trade deal boost

As Australians, our loyalty should be to Australia and Australians. However, the Australian PM Morrison has lost his plot, and backed the wrong horse. By doing so, Australia's future prosperity is uncertain.

The JobKeeper and JobSeeker subsidies could have been paid by the export income from the sales of coal, lobster, barley, red wine ,meat, and education during the pandemic. These export income are ongoing, but the government cannot afford to dig into the coffers repeatedly after 28 March 2021.

As a marketer, so we all led to believe, Morrison should know that it probably costs ten times more effort or resources to find a customer than to keep an existing one. In the present case, losing China will take more than ten times the sources to find one let alone to establish trade.

The business circles are like a battlefield, and the cry of nationalism comes before allies.

Stake in huge iron ore mine in Guinea may cut China’s dependence on Australia

I am getting more and more concerned about the future of Australia. I have written about the gungho and arrogant manner in dealing with China, our largest trading partner.

If China can transform from a developing status to a superpower in about 4 decades, wharpt can stop China from writing off Australia as a supplier of produce and commodities? The livelihood of Australians will be jeopardised and standard of living will continue to slide.

A global call for concrete action for the elimination of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance

It is undeniable that Australia is really spineless, following the rest of the hypocritical racist countries of the world, namely, USA, UK, Canada and Germany to vote against elimination of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia, and related intolerance.

It is sad that Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Greece, Italy and Japan abstained.

On the positive note, New Zealand is really one tough cookie, voted YES for the call. Equally pleasing is that China and Russia Federation voted YES.

Australia is really a thorn in the Pacific region, and Australia's closest and unassuming neighbour, New Zealand, has once again demonstrated its independent, visionary and team playing spirit.

Voting Summary Yes: 106 | No: 14 | Abstentions: 44 | Non-Voting: 29 | Total voting membership: 193

Breastfeeding during parliament session

I argued years ago in regards to not supporting two senators breastfed their babies in the parliamentry chamber in 2017 and 2018 respectively. My against such actions had nothing to do with the rights of a parent feeding a hungry baby; it is a matter whether it is right or appropriate to mix childcaring and working simultaneously at workplace.

My argument is simple and straight forward. How will the passengers of a plane respond if a pilot of any gender is to feed his/her baby or sit on the laps at the cockpit while the plane is in flight? What if a teacher feeds his/her baby while teaching in class or a waiting staff at a restaurant doing the same while serving the customers? Is it OK for a construction worker having a baby at the driver seat while he/she is operating a crane?

Although breastfeeding ban is lifted in the federal parliament, that does not mean such law is logical. In the name of political correctness, pussy cat / chicken lawmakers kowtow to such nonsense without giving any thought that this set a bad precedence and the same will be demanded by other industries and workplaces.

There must be a demarcation between a place for childcare and a workplace for a parent. An employee is paid to work with full commitment, not to be distracted by other non-related activities.

China reports to UN Australia's offshore detention centres violate human rights

It is so sad that our world has become more and more unstable politically with countries finding faults, and pointing fingers at each other. When will all these childish point scoring end?

Australia is no angel when it comes to immigration detention centres in Australia and offshore.

Asylum seekers intercepted at sea en-route to Australia are sent for processing to Papua New Guinea or to the South Pacific island of Nauru. China says the human rights of those in offshore detention centres have been violated, for they are detained for long period, and the centres fall short of medical condition.

For Australia, this is the most stressful time for the people in this country under the leadership of Morrison and the ministers closest to him. Not only we have grudges with China, but also EU and New Zealand. Is this just the beginning?

WHO Wuhan coronavirus mission over but much more work still to do

If mutation can happen in the present manner, why could not that happen before? That is, virus zero was an innocent virus, mutated and replicated, and turned into merciless assasins. They then infected the bats, cats, etc and finally the humans.

If the current mutated strains are not human-made, why can't people with logical mind around the world rethink that the virus was not made in Wuhan lab, or originated from Wuhan, but a process of evolution via mutation?

China can easily replace Australian imports

I am not a political expert, but I knew from the start when Morrison bet the wrong horse in supporting Donald Trump to condemn China in every foreseeable way, causing irreparable damage to Australia-China relationship. Morrison single handedly is causing long-term suffering to the lives and livelihood of all Australians.

I have written before that China can easily find alternative sources of supply for coal. The current high prices for iron ore and wheat are going to be short-live until such time steady shipment of these commodities from other countries can be established. It is unlikely that Australia can find new markets to replace China's.

I have never come across any business person who goes all the way to kill off its major trading partner; worse still the goose that lays the golden eggs that provides Australia of very healthy trade surpluses year after year.

The linked article is basically echoing what I been writing. Unless Morrison can perform miracles, or his Almighty can give him a hand, he has a Buckley's chance to get Australia out the mess.

China-New Zealand relations: upgrade to free-trade agreement eliminates nearly all trade tariffs

Scott Morrison, Marise Payne, Peter Dutton and Josh Frydenberg are the culprits that ruin Australia-China relationship, and continue to cause export slide with the largest trading partner.

I have written on many occasions that Australia nearest neighbour, New Zealand, will gain from Australia's debacle.

The iron ore price is on the rise, and wheat export goes sky rocket. These may be good for the short term, but are not good signs as far as I am concerned.

Not unlike stock market manipulation, prices are artificially pushed up, creating a situation for producers to invest in capital expansion and produce a lot more supply than demand; then the carpet is pulled off the floor, causing a sudden big collapse in prices.

Diplomacy NOT idiocy is the key to success!
