Most people of whatever skin colour are racists. Unfortunately the word race is too grey!
Racism is a mindset. Racists are bullies, and bullying is a psychological disease.
No matter one is born of any skin colour, or from any social background, one is born with certain characteristic traits. For those who are confident, and have the desire to break out of the cocoon or shelter, and want to be successful living among others, they will need to live like a normal "person" in the community, by not taking racism as a personal attack. Racism is a societal ill.

I encountered supposedly racial slurs several times before from ignorant and idiotic Aussies, and I returned with my best verbal shots on the spot without any hesitation. If you think you can't, then start practising in front of a mirror now, because you need to be prepared if you're not good in instantaneous respond.
If someone tells you to take the virus back to China or whatever country, ask them how to it, or ask them to take it back for you if they can, because there is no plane to take the virus back. If the bullies appear to be from some ethnic origin, tell them to do likewise. The statement can't be wrong, because almost every corner of the planet has coronavirus present.
It is very important to speak using English in public, and shake off that strong accent. You can use your own lingo or wear whatever costume you like at home. If you do that in the public because that is your culture and identity, then you are no better than those who discriminate you. You unknowingly want to be a "separatist" and do not want to belong the larger community.
For those who have been following my posts in many FB groups, pages, Google blogs and newspaper comments, you will have read how I openly and strongly criticise the governments' inaction. I also get in touch with politicians to lodge my dissatisfaction.
Stand up for yourself first, before you expect others to do it for you. Better still, join a political party and be proactive in it. Get elected, and make a difference in the parliament. I know it is a long hard journey, but without trying, you'll be just another person in the long queues of whiners.
